Do Online Wedding Vendor Reviews Matter?

Is it important to investigate online reviews when choosing vendors for your wedding? The simple answer is YES!

Think about the last time you were on Amazon or another shopping site to buy even the smallest item. Do you look at the reviews or do you buy the first item that matches your search? Most people would agree that they will be more likely to purchase the item with the best reviews or highest star rating. When picking vendors for one of the most important and undoubtedly the most expensive single days of your life, you should do your homework.

When searching for the right caterer, florist, DJ, band or photographer for your event, you should consider WeddingWire or TheKnot. Both of the these sites are geared towards weddings and are well respected independent sources to find the vendors that best fits your needs. One of the most important functions these sites serve is that they allow brides and grooms to rate and review their vendors after their wedding day. Here you can read the good, the bad, the ugly and sometimes scary. The Authors of many of the reviews are brutally honest! They will brag when they had a great experience and most certainly express their displeasure when things did not go as expected.

The content of the reviews definitely matters, but be sure to pay close attention to the star rating and the overall number of reviews. Plain and simple, consistency and experience matter.

At Sage, we are proud to have nearly 300 reviews and most importantly a five star average rating.
